Cribs
With each product, we strive to explore new materials and processes, including non-toxic and recyclable acrylic, CNC-milled Baltic birch, 24k gold-plated aluminum, and laser-cut powder-coated steel.
Low- and no-VOC finishes are used across all our cribs, and our white oak and black walnut are sourced from sustainably-managed, American forests. Our products are tested to governmental standards on an annual basis.
Finishes and Paints
Our paint is ultra-safe and all our products are lead, phthalate, and formaldehyde safe.
Paint is considered safe when it has toxic materials under 300 parts per million (ppm). In order for a company to claim low toxicity, it must have no more than 90 ppm. Nursery Works products come in at less than 10ppm. We perform annual paint tests to maintain consistent quality.
A selection of our cribs are GREENGUARD Gold certified and are tested towards the latest CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards on a yearly basis. In addition to lead and phthalates, the labs also test for other heavy metals such as cadmium, antimony, chromium, mercury, and arsenic.
Additionally while there currently no regulations for VOCs, in your baby's best interest we also test for VOC contents and the results are significantly low.
